A House For Two Writers

The site for this projects sits adjacent to Donald Judd’s Chinati Foundation in Marfa Texas. The house sits atop a man made hill used initially for cattle top loading into passing trains. Long abandoned, and with the train seldom coming by, once every six months, the site is ideal for an homage to Donald. The house sits atop this hill acting as a monument to the orthogonal work of Judd. The program acts as a secondary system within the house, floating above the floor as separate floating orthogonal volumes.
