The Initial strategy was the concept of visual speed, the amount of time it takes to scan an entire room, or look down a street side. This visual speed can be measured by obstructions or lack there of, like trees or columns, or by sectional shifts that cut off spaces. These disruptions affect any space, and my strategy was to find balance between these ‘disruptions’ and this idea of visual speed. The mat housing strategy is designed for a work/live and three bedroom unit.
